DES Southern – London Launch

DES have just celebrated an official office opening of our London Offices following major growth and success. The celebrations started on 12th July with a small ribbon-cutting event at our new London Offices at Cantilever Court. We would like to say a big thank you to Michael Simpson, Master Lightmonger from the Worshipful Company of Lightmongers and Malcolm Conby, Regional Manager from the Electrical Contractors Association (ECA) who cut the ribbon, declaring our London Office officially open!

In true DES style this was followed by our London Launch event that was held at the Institute of Directors (IOD) on Friday 21st July. The launch was attended by over 120 of our clients, supply chain and industry contracts to help celebrate the occasion.

Sean Egan, Managing Director (DES) and Richard Walker, Regional Director (DES) talked about what make DES different, our history, why London and also what does the future hold for DES. This was followed by Darren Border, Procurement Director at Willmott Dixon Construction sharing the journey that WDC and DES have been through over the past 15 years.

DES has been recognised as one of the fastest growing businesses within the North-West, to which we want to bring our services and values; trust, honesty and quality to London. The intension of opening up a London office is to:

  • Offer greater accessibility to our business for all stakeholders
  • Enhance or client service offering to the London and SE region
  • Provide a training base to develop our workforce including engineering apprentices.
  • To help increase employment opportunities within the communities in which we work
  • To meet construction framework KPI’s – including localism requirements
  • To strengthen our operational delivery by providing a closer point of contact

We would like to say ‘Thank you’ to our sponsors, clients and everyone that has supported us along our journey so far and we look forward to sharing our next chapter with you all.
