Kingston University Town House in Revit to BIM Level 2

DES’ in house design team are currently working on Kingston University Town House in Revit to BIM Level 2. The university is the centre of a £41M project that will be a landmark building in local area. The new build will offer a range of different resources and ultimately bring together the local community.

DES has helped RIBA award winning architect Grafton Architects to design the project in Revit Level 2. This is a rare process for DES, however what makes this project different is DES has been involved heavily in the early stages, working with consultants, architects, Willmott Dixon Construction and the University to complete the design ready for concrete pre-casting. The use of pre-casting will mean the construction programme duration will decrease as we will be able to install quickly and not have to wait for the concrete to gain strength. On the other hand, the conduit on the job has been made by DES and shipped to Ireland to where the casting for the build is being built.

The Ground Floor Revit to BIM fly through video gives you a 3D in-sight view showing the different areas of the floor and fixtures which will be in place.
