Project Overview
The £14.7m redevelopment project at Atherton Leisure Centre in Stratford, London.
The old building has been replaced by a progressive structure used to house two community swimming pools, as well as a gym, fitness studios, play area and a café.
The new structure has a focus on sustainability, with the building featuring an eco-friendly system used to convert waste heat into electricity. As well as this the roof of the leisure centre will form a living surface covered in recycled soil to encourage plants to grow.
